    Default Jury Duty!?!?!?!?!?!

Tell me it's just a nightmare, someone please!

I'm a major sinner, and a generally imperfect person who would like to avoid this, and any help you got would be greatly appreciated! How do I get out of this????? Can I tell them I'm a liar and cheat, a racist and a sexist? Anything?

Well... you COULD show up for the selection process with a coil
of hemp over your shoulder, tell 'em you brought an extra just in
case - they might take that as sign of already having a verdict in mind :D

I got an idea, don't know if it'd help you or not, lets make jury duty
only for folks over age 65 - after all, they're wiser, more level-headed
than us young whipper-snappers, more experienced -
and not as many of them will have to miss work, and they can always
catch up on the fishing after the trial is over

I was called for jury duty in July. I took a Dr. statement that I couldn't do jury duty to the office when I was to report for jury duty. I turned in the release form and the Secretary informed me that it was up to the Judge to release me from jury duty not my Dr. I told her that was ok but that they would have to provide me with an extention cord for my Nebulizer machine that I was taking 4 treatments a day at that time, and I wouldn't be missing any of them. I got a letter from the Judge later that week that I would be dismissed from the Jury Pool.

If you wear inpropriate clothing by the judges standards he or she will tell you to go change or they can lock you up for contempt
Most of the time you are stuck
If you have a hardship the judge may defer you till the next session
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -

I got out of jury duty because I am self employed. The reason for this is that if I were chosen for jury duty my business would have to shut down. This is only because I am the sole employee with no one else to continue the work. Thats one good thing about being self employed.

    Thumbs up It's your duty

They call it jury DUTY for a reason. Seriously, it is an honor to serve.
The fact that I want to hang them all shouldn't be an issue!!!lol Ole Mike

Illinoisgiller hit the nail on the head two times.

The first was in stating that it an honor and our civic responsibility to serve.

Secondly, if they knew that you wanted to hang them all....or let them know you think they must be guilty or they would not have been charged.
