After IKE 11:30 am central daylite saving

I'm in Illinois - family in Texas, Conroe, & Montgomery- just called me eye of IKE gone by they are all OK many many trees power lines etc down, chimmy off house no where to be seen, neice in Lufkin not seen storm eye yet but hi winds & rain. Good SURE hope Skiptomylu & rest of you are OK too..

Down here in Willis, on the water of Conroe. We had a lot of horrizontal rain, 4-5' whitecaps, and wind between 70-80mph. TV went off at 11 last night, power off at 4:20. Now sittin in the truck with a converter to charge up this laptop and cell phone. Can do without the radio and tv, but like to keep in touch and watch the storm trackers.
Lots of trees down, roofs on self serve gas station pumps blown over. Did not see any power lines down, but expect power to be off at least 3 days.
Thats about it for the latest report. Will try to get in here later.

Hang tight Dusty.Looks like the worst is almost past ya now.Take care in dealing with all the clean up and time with out power.You didnt mention anything about doing a little fishin this morning ???? Roger

Still seeing heavy gusts here in Longview.. Lost power around 12P today.. Got the generator running and plenty of goodies stocked up.. good shape..

Seems to be calming down some here too. Never lost power and satellite internet flicked on and off a couple of times maybe for a hour total.Just watched a bunch of VFD guys going out on a call. I guess people are starting to get out on the roads. Not us were locked in for awhile to let everything get calm.

i have a bunch of friends just out side huston and they said was preety bad there and have been told 2 weeks befor theey get power back
i hope skip is ok but might be a bit befor we hear from him
