Are you guys using small jigs in these pics or something heavier. those rods look bent a little more than normal. And at what depths do you usually fish? I am trying to get an idea of where this might be a good tactic to use on the body of water i fish on.

That day I was fishing at Clarks Hill and the wind was blowing from 10 to 15 all day. I had put on 3/4 oz. to keep the lines straight. The wind was in my face and the fish was holding at 6 to 8'.
I start the day out with my lines from 2' down and all the way to 16' deep and adjust to where I catch the crappie holding. If you look close at the df you can see the bait ball was at 6' and the crappie was coming up from the bottom feeding on them.

Those are the BPS uncle bucks deluxe crappie poles. I like them because they fold down to around 4' and I can store them in the boat with no problems. I use 16' at the front and work down to 10'. They are not as stiff as some but I have never broke one in five years of using them. That fish in the picture was 2.8 oz and it was caught on one of the 16' rods. I've had them get hung up and bend all the way under the boat and not brake. So for me I'll keep using them.
