I feel for you folks. Bad thing is, if you don't evacuate, it maybe another Katrina situation. Those levees have to rest for the soil to dry out and reseat. Do you think they can take another?
Well it's looking like Ike as taken aim at or near us again. Man I am still tired from getting ready for Gustav and just picked up all the trash from the yard and here comes another one.

Hope you get through this alright. Even though none of these hit us here on the Georgia coast, they were uncertain enough about the paths that we have been on edge for weeks. I hate the feeling, but it would be a lot worse if we actually took a hit.
Thanks Jeepster04, I don't live close enough to NO to know there situation, but I can tell you when Rita came through here even this far inland she was a bear! Was still a Cat 2 and stopped moving for 2 hours with the center only 15 miles from me. Tornado's were too many to count going by.
Jim Mantz thank you, and yes had this stressed out feeling a lot in my life and use to live closer to the coast.
Waiting on this one myself here in Tx. Better get out of there and be safe.
