    Default Sickle Hooks for Minnows

How many of y'all use sickle hooks for minnows? Not the jig hooks but the regular Matzuo straight shank aberdeen hooks. I just got 2 packs for saltwater but I was wondering how you've liked them so far for crappie.

Cant say on minnows yet, we used the Eagle claw light wire circles, they worked great plus it's hard for e'm to swallow this hook.

I have only used the jig hooks (red chrome #2) but I love them and I no longer use any other jig hook. Sometimes I don't put a tube bait on and just hook a minnow or shad through the lips and it works great. We use the Gamakatsu red chrome drop shot hooks #2 for bottom bouncing rigs and hook the minnow or shad through the eyes. This works great too. Those are the two setups I use out here in Arizona

I have tried them and they worked really nice as far as hooking fish, but the wire is alot thicker than the Eagle Claws I normally use and they don't straighten out near as well on snags.
