Default A Couple of Neat Products! (pics)

I've been trying a few new items that I've picked up lately. I'm pretty pleased with how they worked and would like to share what I've learned.
This little snap is called a "Fas-Snap" and lets the jig move freely just like a Loop knot but instead of only having about a 60% knot strength you can tie it on with a knot such as a Clinch or Palomar and have about a 90% knot strength!
Also, If I want to change jighead colors I don't have to cut and re-tie.

When combined with a 1/4 oz. "Bighead Jig", Midsouth Super Jigs, The "Baitpump", and Crappie Nibbles, it makes for a good combination for jigging 8 feet or more deep. It really shines when battling windy conditions!

This is a #4 long shank cricket hook, that I found, that has a very light wire "V" brushguard soldered on. We pulled these thru brushpiles for 3 days and never lost a one!:D As long as the correct method was used for positioning the wires at a 90 degree angle to the hook we hooked just about all the fish that hit it. It even kept the hook from snagging on the marker bouy string once!

I use them on every hook I put in the water...whether it is a jig on a jig pole with 6 lb. test, or slow-trolling rigs (which sometimes is 20 lb. test). I do know that with 12 lb. test, if tied with the right knot, the line will break elsewhere before the snap opens up.

Those snaps are pretty cool looking. Not as bulky as the duo-snaps I've been using. I see on BPS that they come in 3 sizes. Which one do you use?

I'm going to have to try the Fas-Snap clips. I'm already with you on everything else, I use the same setup.

There is a guy on this forum that will make you some of the best weedless jigheads with any size hook and weight that you want. His name is Paul Mullins and his email address is [email protected] They are about the same price as Academy or Bass Pro.

Once you try weedless you will never go back to regular jigheads.

I really like the 1/4 oz. BigHead Jigs with the smaller #4 hooks. I am constantly looking for a way to make them more weedless. Anybody got any ideas?

Hey slabbandit. Where do you get the BigHead Jigs? I went to their website and when I click on the ORDER link it doesn't work. Is there another link or another site where they can be ordered online? Looks like something that would make a huge difference in deep water and in the waves and wind.
