    Default Pretty Good Weekend! (pics)

We had a good weekend fishing here on Nimrod Lake, AR.

Here are some fish that some friends caught Sunday! They had 47 total between the three of them.
Here's Chad "ChadMan" Roberts showing off a couple nice slabs!

CrappieKeeper and I ended up with 81 for the weekend with about half being "dinks". We were fish hungry so we kept a lot of small ones this time.

Here's one CrappieKeeper caught this mornin'!

We found shad schooled 8 to 10 feet deep in 12 feet water just off of a creek channel drop.
We spiderigged with small bass minnows and "Bighead" jigs tipped with small minnows or Crappie Nibbles to catch 'em.

We thought that this was a "monster crappie" until we got him up out of the brushpile!

What lake? Looks like you are sitting near the mouth of the cow pasture in West Sandy, Tn , but I know you aren't.

    Nice catch.

Hey Tom, Our whole lake is only about 3500 acres at normal pool. Other than it's size it sounds a lot like Kentucky Lake. 5 to 10 foot flats 25 to 35 in the river channel.
Built as flood control in the 40's it was at it's peak in the 70's. A 2lber would hardly turn a head then. Lake Nimrod was considered one of the states top producers of "barn door" slabs.
