Please say your prayers
for all the folks in the path of Gustav. The thought of having to walk away from your home and then waiting to find out if there's anything left to go back to has got to be completely unnerving. I've been in several tornadoes and there's just enough time to grab your spouse, your kids (or, in our case, dogs) and get down and then it's over in a matter of minutes.
Some of our dearest friends live in Calcasieu Parish in southwest LA and are under mandatory evac. as of noon Sunday. Hurricane Rita got their house in 2005 and they just moved in to their newly rebuilt home in June.
I pray for them all.

We had family in Cameron. They lost everything to RITA. Nothing left but the Slab.
They moved up to Rose Pine.
On a lighter note, when we went over to help him with his new building, he had all new tools. First time in my whole life of construction that I had all new stuff to work with.
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D

Skip and all the others are in my prayers. I have seen the after effects of Rita, Charlie, Ivan and Katrina first hand. I have been thers just a few days after each storm helping an adjuster get people back on their feet. It is a tragic situation. I believe this storm will be a huge monster.

Hey thanks for the prayers everyone. Maybe it will go west of us but we gonna get some of it dangit I just got all this stuff back to normal. At least the insurance companys will have to pay this time cause we all got flood insurance now
