    Default Sufix Brand Bought Out...

Sufix was bought out by Rapala a few weeks ago. Hate to hear that. Rapala's alright, but I loved that Sufix line. Too often when a company gets bought out they fall off in quality... I'll give the new stuff a try but I'm gonna start looking for a new line here soon. Heard good things about Momoi's Hi-Catch.

I think I'm going to stock up on it real quick like in case they screw with the formula.

Yup, been aware of it for a few months now. I can't order it from my regular source anymore. Rapala will probably screw it up. They just don't know how to deal with rod's reels and line. They should stick to lures.

    Go get some Gamma.

Read the fine print. Rapala bought the BRAND, not the company. Suffix will still be making the line. (Yao I fabrics is a bigger company than Rapala) They make much of the line for commercial fishing as well as supplying most of the line we know by other brand names. I think they make Fireline and Power Pro. Compare a bit of Power Pro with Suffix braid... No diff.

The language in the contract seems to say that Suffix will only make line for Rapala. Wonder where that leaves the other brands for suppliers?
