Default First Road Runner Order Pic and Questions

First I am going to also add willow leaf blades as a choice and here will be both polish hammered brass and hammered Nichol. Don't know yet if I will offer Gold/Bras Indiana or Colorado blades or not.

What is you guys opinion on gold color Indiana or Colorado Blades? I don't think too many people will ask for them do you? I am hoping just to add the 2 colors of willow leaf.

Finish my first good size order and hope I have not bit off more than I can chew as it takes a long time to paint with vinyl and then tie these darn things. I may end up ditching the vinyl because of that even if it is a much tougher finish than powder paint. I air brushed the white under coat and then used an artist brush to paint them color and then the clear Gloss coat. It's a big pain in the rear to remove the blades and then put them back on.

Thumbs up Them's right purdy, Skip ...

they ought to do the trick

I know what'cha mean about taking off them blades & puttin 'em back on :p
I've got a bag of various size/shape blades, of RR & BS size, that I've been known to tinker with on my collection of spinnerheads :D Even with split ring pliers, it's a hassle. But, when you hit the right combination .....

That's some great photography and some good-lookin' jigs you have there!

Pretty stuff. I almost always use willow-leaf (gold-brass colored).

Thanks Arkie John & Cane Pole! Guess I could make a glow body Road Runner??

cp playing with a few is one thing, but adding that darn vinyl to the blade removing and putting back ends up taking a lot of time for sure. Even Blakemore doesn't make the 1/32 with a willow leaf, but I plan on doing that. Then I remember I also have 1/16 and now these vendors want you to order a lot of blades and when looking at 2 colors and 2 sizes at maybe like 500 each, it get serious fast.

I do like tinkering with my own for sure and is why I got into doing the Road Runners. I don't use them much in the summer, but Spring and Fall I use them more than any thing else.

Bass fishing I loved the willow leaf around the grass for sure as it seems to go through it better. Use to catch the fire out of Bass in the spring on grass beds pumping a single blade willow leaf in brass with a Chart spinner bait.

On the split ring pliers, I have some good ones and some bad ones, I still don't understand why the Mfg of them don't make all of them with an extended lower jaw like my good ones. They make it so hard to get a bite in that ring it's crazy.

Do you have some with the extended lower jaw? If not and you like messing with them you should get some like mine for sure.

Hi Pete, hope all is going well with your heart thing!

I have them in 1/32 & 1/16 is all. I personally don't use 1/8 at all and mostly use 1/32, but had a good number of people that ask for 1/16 so I caved in and bought them too.

Now I want to make some with Fox Hair tails too.
