Default A Very Sad Day For Me

My friend and crappie fishing mentor passed away yesterday while at home at age 69.

Lee Roy Rodgers pursued crappie his whole life and made it possible for me to be what I am today (a crappie fishing guide).

He “ruent” me on crappie fishing nearly twenty years ago and I will think about him and probably talk about him every day I am on the water for the rest of my life.

    I will miss him dearly.

Very sorry to hear of your friends passing. It may help to remember the good times you both had on the water and where you might be if he had not of came into your life. It's tough to lose a friend but it's tougher to lose a fishing buddy.

    prayers are with his family

    Unhappy Sorry about your loss....

Sorry to hear about your loss Jerry. I know you thought dearly of him. Just know when you're on the water, he's smile'n a big ol' "crappie" grin down on you, and everything that he taught you, you can pass down to your kids.

Very sorry to hear that Jerry. His passing will leave a void in your life but I am sure passing along his legacy to those you mentor will ensure that he will never be forgotten.

Well, I was having a pretty good day until I heard that. I remember asking you if Lee Roy was gonna be at Greeson when I came over. At least I got to meet him last fall and I have heard you speak of him very often. Keep your chin up Jerry, like I have to tell you that, keep on doing what your doing and keep passing your knowledge on to others. My sympathy to his family and friends.

Default Now it's your turn to ruin people on crappie

I remember you talking about lee roy to me and my wife. Are paths actually crossed late that afternoon. Lee Roy caught a 16' crappie off a point we were geting ready to fish. He taught you well. Keep your spirits up Jerry.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
