I order quite a bit from them, and generally have a good relation with them -
but just had to vent, rant a little...

Got a Fall sale catalog from them the other day, and seeing they had
the bimini tops $30 off, that prodded me to finally place the order.
I've been saving and procrastinating for a long time before I ordered this,
finally took the plunge on 8-12, and they said they were back-ordered.
But, they were supposed to be in 8-15, so no big deal, right?

Well, just got off the phone with 'em, and
NOW IT'S PUSHED BACK TO OCTOBER 28

I'm sure I'll really appreciate a top in October :rolleyes:
Thinking about calling 'em back and telling 'em forget it.

Mr. Frank, I bet you're right. You know how much I love China-made
stuff, don't ya? I'm sure you do

I'm wondering if something ELSE is wrong with 'em too, besides
NOT HAVING ANY? Curious that the "premium" tops are the only ones
on sale??? I wanted it because of stainless steel vs. nylon fittings
on the others I've seen, but maybe nylon made somewhere else might
be better than Chinese SS

think i,d go with nylon fittings rather than chinese STAINLESS which has a habit of rusting in 2-3 yrs.....

Fellas, It could easily be the supplier that is behind on supplying Cabelas with the product.
These big box places are hurting like most businesses and would have the product if they could.
I agree that they are probably comming from China though. Mike

I've been going through all that too CP - finally decided that ANYTHING
was going to be SOME in the way, so if I'm gonna have something in the
way, might as well be worth it - so went with an 8' bimini

Just got off the horn with BPS, they had Attwood brand,
MADE IN USA nylon fittings, no free storage boot,
but about the same price as Cabelas was pre-sale.
They said it will drop-ship from mfg. in 2-3 weeks - better than
end of Oct.! (If THAT wan't another "fish story" :rolleyes

got the goods Yes, drop-shipping the way of the world now.
I don't get to use excuses like blaming it on supplier in my biz -
havta find another supplier or it's my behind :D
