Thanks for the video, I think the 997 is great. I found some old bridges that I never knew were there. How did you get the recording from the unit to this post.

that the ditch is fairly straight with a gradual dogleg.
The video is deceiving. It looks like the ditch is crooked, but it's not.
This is my inability to keep the boat on the track. The HB gps would not update fast enough at 4 mph to help me keep the gps direction arrow on the track.
Also, mod V boats don't "steer" good at slow speeds. They tend to roam on their own.
I wanted to track down the center of the ditch following the track. Impossible.
I just can't get it to follow the line.
Maybe someone from Humminbird will volunteer to come show me. I will provide a place to stay, food, and even let him catch a fish (if he can). Shoot, I don't mind being showed up. One thing for sure, I will be honest and unbiased in my reports about this stuff.

Tom that is what I like to do with mine. It makes me smile each time I can follow a creek channel or even old drainage ditch like that.

Great video although the music was a liitle creepy. just kidding
That looks like a good place to spider rig in the winter!
Shoot, I'd get rid of the thing if it won't update any faster than that.....Get a good handheld or something...
