I can't thank you guys enough for all the info I 've learned from this site since January. I've lived on the South Texas coast all my life and moved inland close to Lake Corpus Christi 3 years ago. I found this site and and started to learn about catching crappie. I've been stuck on the bank ,but hope to have a boat soon. I have caught a lot of crappie since January. We have fried crappie every week. I caught these Friday on the pier, which use to be the old dam for the lake in 14 to 22 feet of water. The Crappie fisherman told me that I couldn't catch them on jigs just minnows but a 1/8 oz jig with a Assassin silver shad (1 1/2' ) did the trick. Maybe they ought to check out Crappie.com. RW
