Default As green as it gets

    Hi guys,

I've been lurking for a while and I thought I'd post.

I'm just past 40 with 2 boys that like to fish, one more than the other. I fished with my dad when I was growing up, but haven't really fished on my own much.

My boys and I have been shore fishing when we can this summer but really haven't caught much. In fact, I just caught my first crappie ever this summer. He was small so I threw him back. I haven't caught a keeper crappie yet.

Anyways, I just wanted to say "hi" and introduce myself. You'll be hearing more from me.

    Stan

I'm currently in Colorado Springs, CO. Not much water nearby. I pretty much either have to go north to Denver or south to Pueblo to find a decent warm-water lake.

There's a few ponds to dink with in town:
Prospect lake 50ac only had water for 2 years
    Quail lake: 17ac heavy pressure
    Pikeview: 2ac heavy pressure

I've caught some small fish in Prospect, but not had any luck in Quail or Pikeview.

Welcome. I am pretty new myself! But just remember, you are not as green TODAY as you were YESTERDAY if you have been reading the expert advice on this forum.

Looking forward to hearing from you and the boys. <><
