Default First Time Jig Fishing Trip

I took a rookie member of my crappie club on his first jig fishing trip. He was strickly a troller before this day. He has been back several times with just a jig now. Can't say i blame him.

i hear ya.....when you say just a jig, do you mean casting a jig???

Or are you referring to tight-lining over structure???

I guess you would call it tight lining. I have never casted a jig. I use a 12 foot B&M Super Sensitive jig pole. I caught these in about 2 feet of water on an old road bed. The old Natchez Trace actually runs through the Ross Barnett Rez.
