Default Northern oklahoma (Kaw Lake Area)

Just wondering if anyones out there from this area?
It seems this year the crappie are really late on the spawn.
water temp was 67 the other night in Beaver, we caught 10
females and all still had eggs. What are they waiting on?

Thumbs up Check this guy out!

FYI - Mike Simpson is a member on the board here, and is also a guide on Kaw. He is a great guy, and a very knowledgeable fisherman. He also happens to be my sponsor and the owner of Crappie Magic. Drop him an email through his website for the fastest response. I highly recommend his jigs!! Tell him Big Tim sent ya!

We've been fishing Canton the last couple of days and were catching 12-14 inch females in 18-20' of water while trolling for walleyes. They are all full of eggs. Water temp is 63 on the main lake, coves are 69.

What i s up with that?

It just so happens that I met Mike Simpson the other day at the boat ramp
he seemed like a great , smart crappie fisherman. He sold me some of those
really good looking jigs you were talking about. Hope to learn more from him, unlike others he aint scared to help another fisherman out.
