Lake Odessa

What kind of information can anybody give me on Lake Odessa? I've never fished it before but would like to try it out this spring. Thanks in advance.

Gordhawk, Hope that someone will jump on here and help you out. A few days ago I heard that the plug was pulled and they were dropping the water level. Some were putting in at sand run and were getting some fish working south on anything wood. Best results were down like a mile or so to get away from the harder hit areas. As with all mississippi backwaters it is silting so you will run into shallow areas. Sorry, best I can do, Mike

Thanks for the info. As I stated in my original post I have never fished Lake Odessa before & was wanting to try it this spring. In fact a friend & myself are planning a trip up there tomorrow(Wed.5-11-05). Again thanks for your help.
