Well aboard! I'm sure you will learn alot here & also a good place to tell your reports & show off your catch.
Plan on getting addited here :D
Well, folks, I just kinda started pokin' around here a few days ago and first one thing led to another and then I realized: Hey, I didn't even as much as introduce myself. So here goes.
Name's John Garrett, live in west-central Arkansas and have all my life except for a little stint in SE Asia; retiring 30 September 2008, I live between Lakes Ouachita (14 miles to the south shore) Lake DeGray (15 Miles to the north shore), Lake Greeson (35 miles to the east shore and Lake Hamilton (5 miles to the west shoreline...all by design, I might add. As you can see, I probably won't be worth much. :D
Pretty much grew up on Ouachita and the slabs but have just gotten a rekindled interest here of late, to once again pursue those purdy specks.
I found this forum quite by accident and cannot believe how much general and LOCAL information I have already gleaned from you all. It puts me light years ahead of where I would have been otherwise and for that I am grateful. Thanks so much for your generous flow of information.
One of my retirement toys will be a pontoon boat 21-25' rigged out for crappie and diving. I should have one bought (used from private individual) before I actually retire--at least that's my plan.
So, that all bein' said, I look forward to learning a bunch from you all...and might just throw in my two-cent's worth every so often. Thanks for makin' this place available. <><
Blessin's to all,
aj

Already am! I've been lurkin' off and on for a couple of months. Just began to post a week or so ago. I figured it was time to wade in! I fish every chance I get and will be gettin' a lot more chances in a few days when I finally hang up my spurs--once and for all.
