    Default Buy Crappie Fillets

I did not know you could buy crappie legally. Check out this website claiming to sell crappie for $15 a pound plus shipping.

You used to be able to buy crappie in some of the restaurants around Reelfoot in west TN.

I saw crappie for sale on the street in Chinatown(manhattan) for around $5.99 a lb, whole fish. Most of them would have been throwbacks at sardis though!

I read in the FAQ section on their site that they get the fish from Nativ Americans gill netting them in Canada. Must be different laws regulating that type of stuff up there.

I'm sure they buy them off the dock for a fraction of that price, it was just funny to see them for sale up there.

I fished Reelfoot Lake in Tenn. (mentioned by mrdux) a time or two while crappie were being commercially harvested there. The commercial fishing at this public lake began around the 1940s. I heard that, just recently, this is no longer allowed.

We very recently had a thread about this company.

Nice looking site! But a little to pricey for me! Although I probably pay more to catch and eat them if I checked!
