WTG Poler......Sounds like a great day! I'm sure your friend will go back with some good fish stories to tell. That 31 oz. will be 40oz. Monday morning. Thanks for the report.
Had a work friend from K.C. come down this morning and took him to Little Tebo where we have been doing real good. Of course today all we could catch were those notorious 8 inchers. Headed to a couple of our favorite spots by Long Shoal and low and behold the big bite was on. Ended up with 29 nice sized crappie. My fishing guest pulled in a slab that went one ounce shy of 2lbs. on my digital scale. It's not right to get schooled on your home waters. I would feel good with a limit of those for next weekend.
The jig bite wasn't to bad for us.

I just KNOW it was a big one!!!

Are they still 8-10'? Were the bigger fish deeper than the shallower ones? thanks.
Jim - Have boat - will travel.
Good job poler, sounds like you know how to pick friends.

Pitching jigs, catching slabs, life is good
I'm sure I will hear about it at work on monday. That's alright, like I always say, I don't mind being the locator for others. It's just as fun to see someone else get into the good sized fish.
We caught most of our fish about 16ft. down in 30ft. water. Seemed like you would get hit on the way down by small fish.
Sounds good Long Poler. I'm sure you will be itching to hit that that again next sat. See ya there.
WOW! That would have most likely been big fish for the tournament next Saturday.
He took that fish back to Grain Valley and put it in the deep fryer. Bacon wrapped deer meat and deep fryed crappie. I don't know about anybody else, but that sounds like a meal to me.
