Default SI unit works for Whites too.

Sheldon and I fished Richland Chambers Friday and had a good day. Saw a lot of the lake we had never visited before and found some good fish.

We fished CC on Sat. and had one of the best days in a long time. Caught over 60 Crappie. Kept about 25 for Sheldons fish fry. All came off of 4 docks and one brush pile we found late.

White spots around the logs are Crappie. We caught several there.

Sunday between storms I went sandbass fishing.
Caught some of the biggest Sandbass in years.

I've been so busy learning to use my Side Imaging sonar for Crappie fishing that I neglected the other fish in the lake. Today I decided to see how the unit worked for Whitebass. WOW! Not only does it make finding them easy, you can even pretty much tell their size.

By scanning at 800 mhz the fish show up a lot better.

Suspended fish are actively feeding and show up better.

Everything that you see in these pictures is White bass.

These images were captured off the Yellowfin program on my computer so they are somewhat better than what you see on the lake but you can easily find the fish. You get a great picture on the unit in the boat.

All things considered it was the best weekend this year.
    Good fishing.

Ernest --Some time back it was mentioned that there was a problem between up grade 4.180 Humm & the yellowfin program, do you know if its been resolved. I have only tried 800 mhz picts a couple times and they were too dark but plan to try it again when scanning along side a few dams, lots of big rocks.

I do not believe it has been updated yet but they working on it...

Anyone have the info on where to get a sun shield for a 997? There was a feller making them for the 997s I believe. Ernest has one and it's nice.

    Thanks Ernest for the ride!

I bought the raptor cap last year for my 997 & just love it. It fits on with velcro and stays on. A friend leaves his unit(lowrance) on his boat all the time with raptor shade an trailers it down road at 70, no problem.

Any chance you could forward these pictures raw from the SI unit. Would like to play with them and convert to yellowfin. You did a great job. I am still learning.

How about some pictures of the fish.
