    Default Building a pole rack

I am going to build a rack on my garage wall for holding my poles. ( Maybe like 20 ) I don't need anything real fancy. I figure some of you guys have already done this and could give me some good pointers and maybe some pictures. Thanks

I have my spare poles hung on the ceiling--keeps them well out of harm's way. I didn't make anything too fancy, just screwed two parallel 1x2's into the ceiling about 4 ft apart, then screwed large cup hooks into them. I favor the cup hooks as opposed to the "circles" that IBNFSHN used just because it makes it easier to get the rods down. I also don't have his craftmanship skills, so I had to have an excuse for the fact that it doesn't look nearly as good as his.

I use one nail per pole, poles broken down, hung butt up, with nail in the V between the pole and forward curve of the reel(plastic crappie reel). Hung up by the door, just grab as you run by :D
