Crappieday, you make those? We've started using 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 oz. with 1/0, 2/0, and 3/0 hooks (for crappie) down here. Been getting a fella to make standard round heads with Mustad hooks, but I like the looks of those.
when I slow troll or spider rig I have been using a 1/4oz round jig head but didn't like the way the head cut through the water so I thought I would give these a try on those windy days of days I want to go deep, along with something I could throw out for the striper we have in Lanier. they get big up to 40lbs. I can put hooks as large as 4/0 in them and make them in 1/8,1/4,3/8,1/2 and 5/8 oz I am using #4 and #2 in the 1/8 oz but I like the larger #2 better. ya think these will get me in to those deep brush piles for the bigger summer crappie. We can catch em all day long 9 to 11 inches but I think the larger fish have moved in to the deeper brush.

If I Ain't Crappie Fishin', I'm Thinkin' About It............
yes, I make em. Just started. I dont have them up yet but should get em this week on my site.
I have that same mold, they look good. The bigger sized hook does work better due to the shape of the head. They'll do just fine for striper, in 3/8 and 1/2 oz, heavier if you need the weight.
Keith, I like em and think they will work great. Did you get out?....Dennis
I really like the heads!! And the completed jigs. I've been watching for the mold that has 1/16th and 1/8th, but haven't seen one yet. Should give new action to the jigs.

crappieday........The Do It mold that has 1/8th says it will take down to a #1 hook. Do you think it will handle a smaller (#2) hook?

Did you find a mold without the collar or are you cutting it off? Thanks
