Nice red ear. Those are fun to catch. It looks big enough for a Master Angler Certificate from the Mo. Dept. of conservation. They have to be 10". I have 1 for a redear and several for shovelnose sturgeon.
Went to Spring Fork again yesterday morning. Caught a limit, 20, of big gills on the flyrod. Also caught 16 crappies before the thunder started. The pic is of the big red ear I caught. It's the only red ear I have caught there among a couple hundred gills. It's the largest red ear I have caught to date.

Nice fish Bob. I use to have permission to fish a strip pit with big gills in it. It sold a few years ago. We would even catch them on 10" rubber worms bass fishing sometimes. The fight on a flyrod with one that size has to be awesome.
nice red ear.
I just got back from Wappapello and caught 200 of them. All nice and big. Only found 1 bed though. They were scattered.
Guess who got stuck cleaning those 200 fish?....lol.
Nice Catch!
i got a redear very similar to that seen here: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/misso...yesterday.html
And I sent off my master angler award form today.

Dam Bob I did not know you were a Master Angler. I may fish the lake in Windsor or Turkey Kearns today for a while. Looks like the smaller lakes are going to be the way to with the lack of ramps on Truman right now.
that is a nice chink,a big'ole bigun.
That is a Pig, nice!
