Randy,
Was across that bridge in the car yesterday. From that height, it looked decent. Don't know about the upper Glaize, but there is a ton of mud headed down river out of the Big Niangua.
Good Luck!
Going down thursday, whats the water look like at the glaize 54 bridge and where can I get some slab busters at close to this area.

Pitching jigs, catching slabs, life is good
Fished that exact area last Friday and Saturday. Visibility was decent (nearly 3 feet) considering the torrential downpour we had for most of the day on Friday.
Fish were good size although it took most of the day to get near a limit. I used a black and chartreuse sparkle SlabBuster when it was cloudy on Friday and a blue/white SlabBuster when it was sunny on Saturday morning. Both worked well and were on 1/32 oz. jigheads. Oh, I tipped them with a chart nibble, too.
Fish were 8-14 down in brush under our docks. I was vertical jigging. All fish seemed active overall, had several bass, a cat and a gar , as well.
Keep going south/west on 54 across the GG bridge (toward KK) and you'll run into Osage Beach Bait and Tackle on the right-hand side. It's right next to some sort of Payday Loans place. The right-hand wall of the store (past the cash register) has plenty of SlabBusters.
Good luck!

Mark, Scott,
Thanks for the help guys. Maybe a little night fishing on the dock will help my numbers, worth a try anyway.
Thanks again
Randy
Good luck, Randy!

Good luck to ya, Randy. Expecting a good report from ya.

Had a good time thurs, fri, and sat. I kept about 40, most 10"-12". Was very suprised about the size of the crappie for fishing off the dock. We stayed at Robins resort because it was dog friendly, really a nice place and friendly people. I picked up some slab busters from Osage bait and tackle a few minnows and some good advice. I tried the double rig for the first time and it worked pretty good, didn't get a double though. Mark, Scott, thanks again for the info. Does anybody know some more places to stay that are pet friendly that have good dock fishing, needs to have some deep water. The fish were 15'- 18' deep, some still had eggs is this normal. Its nice to drive down and catch fish without pullin the boat.
Got to pet friendly, he's helping us with empty nest.
Thanks
Randy
Nice lookin fish. Glad you had a good time.
You might check out Alhonna Resort. Don't know if they are pet friendly but they have a nice crappie dock.
Mike
Alhonna is a good call by Mike and I know they used to sell minnows on site if you needed them, too. It's off of HH. You may find some other LOZ resorts that meet your criteria on Missouri Vacation Guide - Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri - Vacation Travel Guide.
Glad you had a good time and some success. And yes, I've had very nice size with the fish we've been catching off of our docks. Lots of 11-13 inchers.
Good work, Randy!
