tg&gg, sorry i can't help much, i only live an hour from mtl but haven't been ther this spring with high gas and water. i think mtl is 617 which puts it high and muddy.
I have the opportunity to go fishing this weekend since my wife is going to be in Virginia, but can't decide were to go. I read the MDC fishing report & nothing seems to great right now, I would like to stay around a 2hr drive (I'm 60miles SW of St. Louis on 44) I usually go to mark twain. I was think Mark Twain, Wappapello, Pomme de Terre, Rend or maybe a smaller lake like Little Dixie, or Binder. Thanks for any advise.

I know how you feel about the gas prices, every time I go to mtl it's a tank of gas in the tahoe, & at least 6gal in the boat. I try to plan my trips a little better now days, I always have fun even when I go home with an empty livewell, but I'd like to have something to show for the $150 day trip.
