I'm about to buy some bulk jigheads for plastics and was wondering how important you feel that they are colored? What is your favorite?
Have you had days where unpainted jigheads would not get bit vs painted ones?
You can get so many more unpainted - just thought I would check first.
thx much!
I used to use unpainted and it didnt seem to matter. More and more though, I find myself using white and chartruse. White being the favorite if generally. Not sure why though, because I like chartruse on my jigs. I love chartruse heads too. Especially and chartruse head and white kiptail body.
i like chartreuse or orange jig heads better myself, not sure why because i actually catch just as many after the paint gets beaten off.
Chartreuse or black. Adding black to a two color tube seems to add something at times. Other times, unpainted seems to attract more (as long as it's not oxidized).
Have used both, and see no difference..
I don't think it really matters. If I have a dark colored jig I'll usually use a bright head and vice versa to give it some contrast.
sounds like most are experiencing no difference? Mostly a confidence thing for yourself?
I don't find a whole lot of difference, but all the pretty colors sure make my tackle box look impressive.
I dont find much difference in painted vs unpainted. To me it doesn't matter all that much.
