thanks for reminding everyone of something as important as this Canepole.
Take care of yourselves out in the sun. Cover up. Use sun screen. There are several of us here that can tell you this as a matter of fact. I am/we are paying for playing some 50-60 years ago. We were not aware of the dangers when I was a youngster. This (pics) was just a small spot bout the size of a dime. Looks kinda like they used a fillet knife and helped them to a slab-O-tom, then sewed it back up. You can see where the took out a chunck.
This is kinda gross, but it is meant to send a message. No one is immune to skin cancer. People tend to be more observant when things happen to someone they know. I know a lot of folks. Take heed folks. This stuff can and does kill.
Care for yourselves folks,
Tom

That's a good sized "boo-boo"! Hope you aren't as sore as that one looks like it might be.
Good reminder though. I'm so guilty of forgetting my face and always burning my nose.

Yeah, I'm a bad one for thinking I'm invincable. I rarely use sunscreen or anything. Good reminder and heal quick.

This was a basal cell carcinoma no larger than the size of a pencil eraser. "Basal cell is rarely life-threatening but, if left untreated, can be disfiguring, cause bleeding, and produce local destruction (e.g., eye, ear, nose, lip)." It was surprising just how large a slice and the number of stitches they used to remove it. The face lift appearance failed to help but the cancer removal was a success.
I now religiously apply 45+ sunscreen before leaving the house knowing that later in the day I will be suffering with terrible burning eyes from using the sunscreen.

I got some spray (can) sun screen I keep in the tackle box. Lots easier to fool with than the tube stuff. I hope the can don't explode. Nothing about storage temperature on the can.
