How was the turn out and the lake condition?

The turnout wasn't the best. Seven boats, some people where out of town, gas prices have kept some home, unstable water conditions, 5" of rain the day before, rising water. I don't think I've ever seen such a bad year for tournaments. One condition after another keeps coming.

The lake is high but the water wasn't bad unless you went way up either arm of the lake. The only problem around the dam were the pleasure boats and jet skis. For the life of me I don't know how people riding jet skis dont' get ran over!

The fishing was awesome. Brushpiles were key. The bite was a very, very slight peck. Had to be ready to jerk when they hit. Jigs and minnows both worked well. Four of the seven boats caught at least 30 keepers. Wonderful day to be on the lake.
