What kind of surgery did you have? Glad it went well what ever it was.
I had my first eye cataract surgery last Monday and the left eye is next Monday. First one is really good.

Outpatient surgery to remove a knot on my leg. At the hospital at 6 am. 4 hour wait for something that took 15 minutes. I got to watch. Surgeon showed me the surgeons knot. He sewed the hole up with what look like a #4 hook and #4 lb line inside stitch and 10 lb outside stitch. Good conversation with the doc about knots. He told me what the string was, but I can't spell or pronounce the name.
I got cataract too. I just been putting it off. I gotta see the eye man tomorrow.

OK here is the scoop on Cataract surgery. I went to Dr. Lehmann who was the first in the US to put a multi focus lens in someone eye. He has been at it longer then any of them. His part is 7 minutes per eye with one at a time. After waiting maybe 30 minutes they got me prepared and that took maybe 20 minutes and then about 15-20 minutes later I was back with my wife. Don't remember any of it from when they gave me the meds until I was back with my wife for a bit. Only discomfort at all was getting the IV put in. I don't have may good veins left after my back and heart surgeries.
The lens where you need reading glasses are the low cost version and Medicare pays for much of it and 80% of the surgery. The multi Focus lens I have Medicare still pays 80% of the surgery, but nothing on the lens and it's $2k each. They have a lens called Crystal Lens and it is another $2 higher per eye. Doc told me this lens I got is what he would put in his family members eyes and his if he needed it.
I see 20/20 or better distance and if close enough I see well, but the intermediate they say may take a few months to get better. It's not a big deal, but love not needing glasses for the first time in over 35 years. I still try to take them off sometimes, LOL! The close vision you do need to be closer than before, but it's good. Can't wait for the left eye next Monday.
If you are putting it off; don't you will love the change. They have an interest free 12 month creditor to finance it so you have time to get it paid.
