I talked to a friend that lives at Tuncia, he said there were some limits brought out this past weekend
Caught some nice fish last weekend even with the wind, cold front, and full moon. We ended up with 18 Crappie and 7 big Bream. Game Warden taking creel survey said we had the best stringer of the day at 24 lbs. Not too bad considering the conditions!
About 1/2 males, 1/2 females. The females looked like they were a few weeks away from spawning, so the best is yet to come. About 5 of our 18 were 2 lbs or better, 10 were over 1 lb, and 3 were hand-sized. We expect to catch several 3+ pounders this year with the fresh water we have received so far this year, an abundance of baitfish, and a healthy population of large Crappie.

I was on the cutoff 2 weeks ago and the water wast oo clean to fish. You could see a jog 3 feet down. Crappie just won't go shallow in that clean of water. Does anyone know if the water has some color in it now?
river on a quick rise.....until it slows to iti biti I'm calling lockjaw. there's a foot a day climb since Friday.
What's the daily creel limit for crappie at Tunica Cutoff? I always thought it was 30, but was recently told it was 50.
Can't wait for the river to stabilize and get back to Tunica for the bigguns!! Should be another great year!

river expected to rise over 3 feet in 5 days....looks like the fishing will slow for awhile. Come on slow fall
