    Default Minocqua Chain Crappie

Just got back from a week in the beautiful northwoods! Between 8 of us, we caught probably 200 Crappie - 120 over 9" (even though no length limit, we kept only 9 & better). Five 12 inchers and many 10 to 11". We wanted to get on the walleyes but the weather has been crazy and the weeds are just now starting to grow. Nothing wrong with the Crappie when eyes aren't biting! Thanks to Crabby1 for giving us a couple places to fish.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!

Try evening at the Old train bridge by The Thirsty Whale. There is a group of pilings on the south side that seemed to hold a lot of crappie. Also just to the left after passing into Kawagesaga there are pilungs and brush.
