Default Rockafeller - The best worst trip I have had

Well I went down to Rockafeller yesterday. It was the least amount I have ever caught down there but the best trip I have made b/c all my family made the trip with me. Too much weight in my boat to go where I wanted, so I had to stay close but we made the most of it.
The wife and kids enjoying some crabbing action.

We had to fight some of these guys off! I think we counted 11 of them when we first got there.

Ended up with about a dozen and a half.

    2 of the bigger ones.

Caught about 80 to 100 shrimp a throw.........Only problem was that it took 80 to 100 shrimp to make a pound! LOL Well at least I have some bait shrimp now.

The finished product. I picked out some of the bigger shrimp to boil.

    And tomorrows dinner......baked hog.

No matter how poor the fishing was, it still beats the heck out of working......

The dates not off, it was a trip into the future, right Dwayne, please tell me I'm right. Hey, how can any trip with the family be bad. Looks like you caught enough for a meal even though you had to add a lot of potatoes, carrots and whatever. By the way, why don't you take one of the future trips to July 4th weekend to check it out. Ha. Take care friend,

Gene, I am going back off shore Tuesday but plan on trying to make at least one more trip before the 4th. I am going to try to borrow a friends boat that should be able to carry more weight! lol

Is there any good access for crabbing without a boat down there? Or cast-netting shrimp even.
