Got a rare chance to wet a line today with my dad. He loves ultralight fishing, but due to his work we don't get to fish all that much together. Started off throwing some small jigs. I caught three decent crappie pretty quickly and he caught one. We then began using the old standby, bobber and cricket :D . On them we caught 3 more good crappie, one bass, and probably 30-40 bluegill and bream. All fish were released. Great day, and always good to wet a line with Dad. I am also very glad to say I outfished the old man, he put a 13-1 whoopin on me at the river a few weeks ago. I swear these suckers were bigger than they look in the pics, they were actually nice sized crappie.
Just be glad your not my size. I make the monsters look small. I do like your pole on the ground technique though. I use it myself.
Take a look. http://onelastcast.net/aboutus.aspx
Good things come to those who bait.
