Default Lake of the Ozarks, Bluegill/Crappie

I am heading over to the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend. I was wondering if the slabs are hitting at all. I was going to try for some Bluegill with the kids. Sad to say but I was looking to hear about the Bluegill for the kids. If anyone has any information on if the gills are hitting it would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance
    Matt

    Default Gills

    Hey Matt,
I went down on the Glaise arm this morning and caught a lot of gills on the beds. We caught a lot of real small fish in the rocks near the banks but found bigger fish about 10 foot out in 4-6 foot of water. We set a danamax (like a maribou) about 16 inches under a float. Pulled back slow to the boat & poppit it a few times. If we found one god size gill we would find 10-15. We were in coves working the edges. We haven't caught many crappie. They have been catching nice crappie below the dam using jigs & minnows.
