I may be wrong, but in North Alabama where I grew up, a jojo potato was a baked potato that you cut into quarters lengthwise and batter and deep fry. They are awesome, you can usually get them at any of the gas station deli shops out there too. they are good with a little hot sauce and ketchup mixed together...:D

JoJo Potatos are a potato cut length wise and fried with the skin on. I don't batter them before frying, but I am sure they would be good that way too. After cooking a few fish, I drop a few jojos in the grease. The potatos clean the grease somewhat. Also, it gives the hungry people something to eat on until the fish are done. If you haven't discovered Zataran's seasoned breading mix, you are in for a treat. Sam's Club has it in large jars.
