Default Truman - Osage Bluff Area

Hello everyone - sure missed being on cdc but vacation to the beach in Florida and eating fresh seafood every night was priceless:D

We returned from Florida repacked the car and the boat :Dand headed to Truman - Osage Bluff area to camp. We went out Thur evening and caught 3 crappie and a 3 lb channel cat - we cleaned and gave them to the older couple who manage the campground facilities Then we went back out Friday and had our limit by 3:30:D

It seems that the afternoon bite was better than the morning bite. We caught most of them in 22-25 ft of water suspended at 10-12 ft on cedar trees using green/charteuse beaver tails and charteuse jig head with chart nibbles.

Good job! Looks like to me that Mrs. JJ's pile is bigger than Mr. JJ's pile. I was just wondering if the fish have spawned out yet in that area?

Mrs JJ did catch several nice ones. As for the spawn....there was a mix - some had, some hadn't, some were and some looked like they were absorbing them - the eggs were hard?

Hmmm.... Debating about taking the boat down there tomorrow and fishing the lake or leaving it at home and fishing the rocks below the dam. Hmmm... What say you ???

    Nice catch BTW

Nice crappie. It looks like the water might have been clearer there than up by Long Shoal area. We fished about 3 hours on Friday and got 12 nice ones. 2 were 14 inch. Caught all on swimmin' minnow.
