From What I can tell they are awesome with not only 1' contour lines, but 3D view of the lake bottom.

My Lowrance LCX 27C needed a software update for it to work and it's coming from Lowrance now and the map is coming from Cabela's.

I am thinking this is going to blow my mine!

Then click on features and it should show a boat in the pic on the left and a 3D view on the right that you can click on the arrows at the bottom and see what it looks like full. There are other pics in that too, but one is the D shot.

It's a shame because it's pretty cool looking stuff. It is a pic of a river and it's like looking at it empty of water with all the little depth changes you would expect to see, kind of like a mountain range, but tiny and inside a canyon.

I'd be interested to hear your report after you've received the chip and used it on the water, if you don't mind posting it after you get it skip.

I've seen the screen shots, but haven't seen a boat imposed on the pic to give you boat position in relation to the 3D pic. I'm wondering if it's just a shot of the area and not tied into the moving map feature. If it's the former, kind of cool, but of little value, if it's the latter - way cool.

I will report back for sure with maybe some screen shots as well. I did call Navionics and they say it does show your boat position just like the regular map.
