    Default Fun afternoon.....

I went to the local tackle shop and bought 3 bottles of Spike It dye. Chartreuse, Fire Red, and Hot Pink. Man.....this can get addicting. Dying stuff that is. I've been taking plastics and making all kinds of color combos. My imagination is such a major factor in my love for fishing. I bought a pack of plain white sliders....woo hoo! They are every possible combo of the above three colors and white that you can think of. Then I found out that pink and red over chartreuse are different. Pink is orange, and red is.....light red. Anyhow...if you're looking for something to do for a couple of hours....

Yeah...I just took some of my panfish plastics....curly tails, assassins, tubes, lil fishy's and other minnow look alikes, and dyed them different colors that I think might work. Or look good to me anyhow. Its called Spike It dye. You just dip the plastic lure into the dye for a second and it is dyed. I bought them at a local tackle store, but I'm sure you can get them online. Just type Spike It Dye into a search engine. For example, I took a plain white slider and made it red/chartreuse tail, or pink/chart tail, or white/chart tail, or all pink(bubblegum).

I think Crappster was just "experimenting" with his plastics & dye - just to see what he could "create". Who knows - he may come up with a color combo that kills 'em !! ......... luck2ya'll ............cp

oh yeah, I forgot to mention (admit?) .... I've been experimenting with "dipping" some of my plastics, too ......LOL!! If I come across a combination that proves itself in the field - I'll post the whole expose' !!!

While you guys are experimenting with your plastics, I've been experimenting with jig heads. I've bought unpainted heads and then dipped'em in neon colors of craft paint along with a top coat of glitter nail polish. I'm having too much fun and I've actually caught fish on my "funky" painted heads.

I started dipping last night with Spike it chartruse glow garlic. I made some jigs bi and tri colored with it. I caught several with them but they were small. I am going to get me some google eyes and paint for my plain heads.
