Finally made it out fishing on Tuesday the 20th and the 21st. Caught quite a few Crappie, Bass. Walleye, and a few Bluegills, and even a Hybrid Striper. The only keeper Crappie we caught were females between 12-14 inches. they all were loaded with eggs yet. The females were out in 15-23 ft of water. The Males were in 5 ft and some were on the banks. The Males had there tuxs on but the tails weren't torn up at all. The males were only 9-1/2 to 9-3/4 inch so we let them go. The water temps were from 64-66 degrees around the lake. The air temps were in the mid 70's but drops down to the mid 40's at night yet. I think they started to spawn a few weeks ago when we had warmer weather but then when the weather changed and got cooler again it put them off. The Bass are on the beds big time and will attack anything that gets close to their beds. The Walleye are in with the female Crappie and we are catching quite a few of them. It is raining now and suppose to rain thru the week-end until Tues.
