MS Fishing Reports Vol. 3

Didn't get to fish this past weekend, but did hear of some good reports.
Sardis Fri 22nd..53 caught in 18 inches of water with minnows on corks
Arklabuta Sun 24th 20 very nice slabs. No word on water depth

Did not fish myself. Too much wind so I got the yard work completed.

Sardis 4-25 Fished in my waders around Toby Tuby and Kept 13 males. Fished for a little while this afternoon. Wind was still whipping pretty good though.

Went to Enid on 4/30. The wind made it tough...it was pretty chilly too. We got there at 6 and toughed it out until noon. caught 16 in about 4 ft of water in brush tops. about 5 of them still had some eggs in them...looked like they were ready to go though (really soft/runny and lighter color). looks like the spawn is not totally over yet, but really close.

I think we could have caught twice that if it were not for the wind.

I always thought that the eggs turned almost red with blood just prior to the spawn am I wrong?

5/7 Sardis all we caught was 5. Had 1 went over 2 lbs, all were females, and were 18 feet deep
