Default Very late year up norht

Opening day of walleye season.....got a break in between the storms, they are coming about every 2 or 3 hrs today..... ran to the closest fishing spot to my cabin. My son and I dropped our lines in and caught a double immediatly and they were both walleyes about 2- 1/2 --3 lbs. As we released them the eggs flowed out of one of them. This has never happened to me before , the walleyes are always spawned out by opener. I guess that means that the crappie spawn is about 2 or 3 weeks off at least.
We were only about 1 minute from my dock and by the time we got back in the wind had come up and had things churned up again, blew hard for about 1/2 hr and then died down again. As I am typing I see it picking up once more ......this has been going on all day.
    Maybe lake trout tommorow.

    Hey Ken,
Right now the lake that I live on and fish is over 20 feet high and dropping! It was close to 30 feet high all during the spawn. I didn't even try to fish. I sent you a PM.
