I went last year for the first time. I had a blast as well. We hunted for a hard week and saw a lot of deer, just had a hard time getting on the big ones, we hunted the early season so they weren't rutting yet. When we go again we will go during one of the later seasons. Shot a small one the last day of the hunt, I didn't spend all that money to come home empty handed. Here's a few pics from our hunt. Mchappy, did you have any luck?

I hunted in CO. back in the 70s when I was in the Air Force. Took a nice buck, a 3x4 with a 2 inch kicker on the three side that makes it a 4x4, plus eye guards. It has about 29" outside spread.

I have also hunted black tail out here in Cali. My best is a forked horn, 2x2 with eye guards, at 20" outside spread.

Never have been Whitetail hunting. Yet

Mchappy, I dont remember the unit number we hunted, we were up north along the Wyoming border. Looking forward to going back sometime in the future when the time and money is there. Those out of state licenses can get expensive.
