My windy day project was to respool with fresh 4# line. Saw your post and went straight out to the shop and tried it. Worked like a charm! I owe you a cold one, thanks. Now, who in the heck said old dogs can't learn new tricks!
David your tip just cost me 5 bucks. I just went and tried it on 2 reels that didnt even need new line. Man that works great.
That's a great idea! Aint it funny how you can stumble on some really good ideas completely by accident. I'm gonna do that from now on - the shop vac sits right there in the boat shed anyway.
