    Default Surgery

I finally had the surgery on my foot last Thursday. It was a lot more painful than I expected. I had planned on going back to work this week but the Dr. advised against it. I figured he was being overly cautious, but now I realize why he wanted me to stay home. I am hobbling around using a cane, but I sure am glad I got this over with. It will be around four weeks before I am fully recovered. Hope I am well even where I can get out and do some fishing in a couple of weeks.

The Mrs. is really ticked at me for not resting like I should. I am not one for just sitting still, so this is hard on me. I got so bored earlier I went hunting cottonmouth's with the .22 around the pond. Found two but couldn't get a shot at either one. I wonder what the neighbors think seeing me walking around the pond with a cane in one hand and a .22 in the other.

You best listen to the wife. Nothing to fool with. One can
get a blood clot straight to the heart. Ask my brother

do what the doc says,,,you don't even want to come down with a staph infection,(msra),,at best you could get over it with lots on meds(i was on antibiotics for over 100 days straight with mine) and the worst is you could loose your foot,,,,,just a thought

The hard part is over Jim...Rest while you can. I have knee surgery coming up next week and it will be hard to just lay around for a couple of weeks, but rest is the best in the long run.......
