Anyone fish MTL over the weekend? Hoping for hints on where to start and what to do for this weekend. Particularly South or Middle Fork since we are staying near there. Thanks for any help!

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night will keep me from crappie fishing!

Went to twain sunday, caught 3 limits. Fished pigeon & shell . Fished sliders black & chartruese in one to three foot of water.
Gambler - Sounds like you had a good day. Are they on the banks? Any big females yet?
You need to be there right now,if you like them on the bank.
Jig & Ellie are my green headed corn grinder finders.
R.I.P Jig dog
Nothing huge, 91/2 to 11 half females half males. picked them up from right on bank to 8 ft from bank, some nice 11 inch males.caught few on bobber but most on slider, my bait of choice.
Fished 19 boat tourny on sat. took 2nd wind was terrible so we just found main lake cove and fished bobbers. caught mostly decent females 8-10' out from bank 2-5' deep not on trees. smaller males on banks. good luck
Sounds like the timing might be good or at least worth trying. Does anyone know if the old ramp on the Elk fork is under water or useable? I can't remember if 614' puts it under or not.
my dad and i went last thursday, caught two limits using sliders in 1 to 3 foot of water. we went back up sunday and took my nephew. we caught three limits using sliders, watermelon and chartreuse. can,t get any better eating than fresh crappie
Just spoke to some folks that caught limits yesterday, in the rain. Still a little high and muddy but fish were near the banks. No size to brag about but enough to take limits...
Looks like Saturday for me...
