    Default The Reports Are True

Ok, you guys aren't liars. Went below Truman dam this morning, two limits of nice crappie in two hours. We used red/chart slab slayers in 16-20' of water about 12-18' deep. On top of the two limits we caught about 50 dinks to go with it, just means the next few years will be awesome!

Any body have any reports on Truman?

two of us caught 23, 10-13 inchers, 15-18 feet down in 30 feet of water on black and chartruse jigs tipped with minnow, threw a few smaller ones back and lost several in deep brush. still a good time!

We fished from about 7-9. Perhaps since it was overcast this morning the bite stayed good??

They were actually biting better with bigger fish later in the morning. Just before we had our limits, the last 5 or so, they came fast. The bite was real light, just like you had ran your jig over a leaf, no good thumps or pecks.

We had 28 nice ones at Truman yesterday.50/50 male to female 1 1/2-2 feet water. Dark green and chart. under slip floats 12-14 inches.Females eggs still look like they are a week or so out.Not bloody or runny.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    Pole Bender,

Fisherman would never stretch the truth, they just use a "modified ruler".

Hope everyone has a great weekend catching!!!
