    Has anyone heard anything about this lake? Thinking about giving it a try.

    Haven't fished it for crappie. I have fished it in the past for catfish. Fair at best- they pumped a lot of well water in it the past summer due to the drought and I'm sure it didn't do it any good. They have improved the launch and parking area when it was low.

    The lake is full pool now. Last six feet or so came from rainwater, but Twaingang is right about pumping from wells. It used to be electric motors only. I know of no changes to that rule.
    I don't think they allow camping anymore, but there is a nice campground about two miles from the lake called "Cozy C."
    Haven't heard any fishing reports for quite sometime. If you go, I hope you have a great time...
