Question Rod tip tops and sensitivity ?

Does the type of tip top on a rod have an effect on sensitivty ? I ask because I had to replace the tip top on my 5' UL Ugly Stik Lite because it had devloped grooves. It was a small, light ring made of stainless steel with small short side braces. I put a Fuji tip top on with a slightly larger eye made of aluminum oxide (same tip top as all other Ugly Stiks) with the longer side braces. Haven't tried it out yet, but wonder if it would feel any different. I think the smaller ,light stainless steel guides and tops on the Ugly Stik Lite rods is more for reduced weight, but I'm not sure. Any comments or opinions ? -Thanks

I had replaced most of the tips on my ugly stiks over the years...pretty sure the replacements were fuji tips. I really can't tell any difference myself...
